September 2009 Mercury Retrograde

Mercury will be going retrograde on September 7 at 12:46 am EDT in 6 degrees 13 minutes of Libra. It will go direct on September 29 at 9:15 am EDT in 21 degrees 38 minutes of Virgo.

Mercury governs all forms of communication including thoughts, feelings and information. Libra is the sign ruling sharing and close personal relationships. It moves through Libra until September 17 when it retrogrades into Virgo. During the transit through Libra communications between partners on mundane and worldly matters can get unclear. Retrograde periods can be rewarding for looking inward and sharing of personal feelings and concerns.

From late in the evening on September 17 until September 29 when it goes direct, Mercury will transit Virgo. Virgo likes to tend to details and bring order to both their surroundings and the lives of people around them. During this period accomplishing this is apt to take extra effort. If possible take it slowly and be careful and you’ll be able to get things done. Just go over whatever you’ve worked on when Mercury is no longer retrograde.

Mercury will next be retrograde from December 26, 2009 to January 15, 2010 and April 18, 2010 until May 11, 2010.
