Mercury Retrograde August 2010

Mercury goes retrograde on Friday, August 20 at 4:00 pm EDT at 19 degrees one minute of Virgo. It goes direct on Sunday, September 12 at 7:10 pm EDT at 5 degrees 26 minutes of Virgo.

Mercury governs communications, getting ideas across, information and connections. Virgo rules the details of life, paperwork, procedures, efficiency and having things done the “right” way. It’s important to dot the I’s and cross the T’s so order doesn’t turn into disorder.

Connections including wires, circuits, fall under the domain of Mercury and along with Mars moving parts. If possible put off purchasing items that contain these things during the retrograde period, unless something breaks down and needs to be replaces immediately which seems to occur more often during a Mercury retrograde... If something must be replaced keep the receipt and read the warranty.

With communications slowing down and less clearer, it would be a great time to fine tune one’s listening skills. Mercury loves and rules information and retrograde times are more internal and introspective. Write down your thoughts and plans and share them with those closest to you and with a wider audience when Mercury is no longer retrograde.

Mercury will next be retrograde from December 10 to December 29, 2010 and March 30 thru April 23, 2011.
