ot so long ago very few people went on a pilgrimage, traveled to the East in search of a guru, or spent long hours in meditation. But recently two remarkable things have happened. Wisdom which was once imparted to devotees only after years of intense study is now being made available to anyone who is interested. There are books on every imaginable spiritual teaching and tradition.
At the same time the pace of our lives has speeded up so much that it often seems impossible to stop what we are doing for long enough to remember who we are and what is truly important, let alone take the time to nourish our souls.
And so more and more people are coming to the realization that instead of setting time aside each day for spiritual practice, our only choice is to make each moment an occasion for opening up our awareness and coming into the present. Experiencing the sacred in our work and play, on the phone, in the kitchen, driving on the freeway, looking after the kids - this is everyday spirituality.
Here you will find an enormous range of approaches but the aim of each is the same: to assist us in living our lives to the fullest and enjoying the wonder of creation.
