A Special Astrological Profile of all the Closets in Your Chart

Keep in mind that every October is National Coming Out Month. What better way to prepare and celebrate this liberation than to open up, explore and expose all the closets in our horoscope. As a public service, I offer a special astrological outing. Astrology charts have three closets; the first is ancestral stuff (garbage that family foists upon us; conform or else!). The next contains the deep psychological and sexual challenges we face in merging with others. The third is more intuitive and spiritual. It’s where we allow our own self-undoing through the prisons we create for ourselves. (Ready to break out?) Read ahead to see what's behind each closet door that needs airing out:

ARIES (MAR 21 - APR 20)
All your closets are ruled by water signs which means that you're more emotionally involved with those areas of your life than most folks.You have more attachments to family, home, deep sexual commitments and spirituality than you would care to admit in a public forum. (Don’t worry, your secret is safe with me!) Gather all kindred souls and create something for yourself that was denied to you by Mom and Dad.

TAURUS (APR 21 - MAY 21)
Accept me for who I am or tough luck! Gay Bulls who seem so emotionally committed to others can turn off the spigot and go their own way if their needs are not supported. You probably never faced inner conflicts of who you are and how people would accept you. Instead the fire in your closet houses enables you to seek the company of those who would accept you for who you are, hooves and all.

GEMINI (MAY 22 - JUN 21)
You probably had the most difficult time coming out sexually. Part of the problem is endemic to Geminis in general who are unable or unwilling to choose or settle down with one special person. However, in the case of gay Twins, chalk up the extra angst to dour Capricorn sitting in your sexual closet. You can run, but you can’t hide, so why not do yourself a favor this October and talk to someone who can help.

CANCER (JUN 22 - JUL 23)
Pink Crabs seem emotionally centered on the outside, but I would bet that all your closets are swirling with hurricanes and tornados. It must be all those air signs in there, stirring up your neuroses and making you try desperately to seek balance, harmony, justice and logic when none may exist. Crabs don't have a backbone, but you may find one tucked away on a back shelf. Try it on for size.

LEO (JUL 24 - AUG 23)
Seek and ye shall find, pink Lion. All your closets are ruled by water signs which indicates that you should allow your emotions free rein. Family restrictions never seemed to bother you; you are able to undermine the current regime rather easily. The pothole exists in your sexual expression. Dramatic as you are, there are some things that even yo u won't discuss openly.

VIRGO (AUG 24 - SEP 23)
You may not appear to be a firebrand, but don’t let naysayers and homophobes get in your way! All your closets are full of fire and it's evident that throughout your life, it’s been your way or the highway. Remember that fire is not condusive to quiet contemplation. Try stepping back from the heat every so often and take stock of who you are bo dy and soul.

SCORPIO (OCT 24 - NOV 22)
Passionate Scorps glide into their lifestyle choices far easily than other signs. This is because all your closets contain air signs which blow and cool off the hot embers of any raging temperamental fires. While you may play the sexual gayfly (after all, frivolous Gemini sits in that closet) you know how to handle family issues and are spirituall y in harmony, thanks to diplomatic Libra.

SAGITTARIUS (NOV 23 - DEC 22)
What do you get when you combine a big mouth like Sag with closets filled with emotional water signs? A lot of wailing and yelling perhaps, or maybe a sarcastic spot-on appraisal of where others a full of garbage. Your venture out won’t be quiet and dignified, but it will sure entertain audiences. Out loud and proud is always the best way, I think. Others will have to adjust.

CAPRICORN (DEC 23 - JAN 20)
Serious, conventional Capricorn is anything but where your closets are concerned. This is because they are filled with rambunctious fire signs. You are regal and dramatic sexually, but probably need a lot of confirmation from lovers. Be aware that these ramrod fire signs will not take no for an answer when family dictates get in the way of your inn er needs.

AQUARIUS (JAN 21 - FEB 19)
The only closet that appears to creak is the one containing secrets, personal undoing and spiritual fallow. Ever hear of the old saying that you are your own worst enemy? It's possible that all the junk that you stuff away and hide is beginning to fester and smell. Open up and toss it out! Happily, other closeted potholes in your chart are less problematic.

PISCES (FEB 20 - MAR 20)
Spiritual Pisces may feel at odds with the barriers in their closets, but thank goodness all those air signs blow a clean breeze through every so often. The worst I see is fragmented nerves and related stress, but like everything else, this too shall pass and you will have the satisfaction that you are living your life openly, freely and unafraid.
